Three Years and Counting!
I appreciate all the people who read my weekly blog on chrisatkins.net and those who follow my posts on Facebook and Twitter! This week I’m including the song “Grace Unleashed “ for reasons that will be obvious as you read on.[audio mp3="http://chrisatkins.net/wp-content/uploads/2017/11/Grace-Unleashed-1.mp3"][/audio]It occurred to me that this month marks three years of weekly blogging on living an everyday life of worship. I am thankful that God has made this blog possible, and appreciate the great team—Steph, Tom, Terri, and Terese—who partner with me in getting it ready and accessible to everyone. I have received encouragements and comments from people all over the country and parts of the world, so I thank God for this platform! I do not take this blog lightly, but pray that every post I write will touch the people God wants to reach. One evening this summer I was invited to speak to a gathering of people about worship as a lifestyle. One man told me that in addition to reading my book “The Isaiah Encounter: Living An Everyday Life of Worship” he also spent 7 hours one day reading every blog post I had written. I told him I don’t think I could have done that and I wrote each one! He went on to say that he was deeply moved and impacted by the insights on worship both within and beyond the church walls. This blog is part of the ministry of Grace Unleashed, a not-for-profit Christian ministry that has been around since 1995. There are no advertisements on the blog site, as this Grace Unleashed only exists to invite people to know Jesus Christ, equip Christ-followers in their walk with Him, and to encourage the community of all Christians to worship God. In addition to the blog, this year Grace Unleashed has made it possible for me to facilitate and sing at conferences in Los Angeles and Minnesota. We’re also excited about new ministry and outreach possibilities in Florida that could take place in 2018 with your help.In addition to my blog, this summer I wrote some new worship music that I think is among the best I’ve ever composed. Two of the songs, “Living Oaks” and “The Peace of Christ” have deeply moved many people in church and conference settings, and I have received many requests for recordings of these and other songs. Studio recording is very expensive, so I have been praying for people who will step forward in faith to help us fund this ministry endeavor that could cost ten thousand dollars or more. Please pray for this, and prayerfully consider how God would have you partner with us in this ministry. If this blog and my music have been inspiring and helpful to you, please consider a tax-deductible, year-end gift to the ministry of Grace Unleashed. You can help us reach more people with the blog, music, and other ministry events we are hoping to do in 2018.Your tax-deductible donation can be mailed toGrace UnleashedPO Box 97Champlin, MN 55316I’ll be back next week with a new blog post and look forward to many more in the future. In the meantime please keep reading and tell your friends about this blog!
“ I thank my God every time I remember you. In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now, being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.”Philippians 1:3-6
